Photo Guide for Pet Portraits

Not sure if you can use your reference photo? Don't worry! Our artists are very skilled, just send it over to us before placing an order, we'll take a look and get right back to you...

For best results when taking a new reference photo, try to use the following guidelines...

  • Clear (not blurry), close-up, forward facing photos are best, with your pet at eye level and showing a bit of the chest.
  • Try to use a more diffused natural light, rather than a camera flash (which can create harsh contrasts).
  • Make sure that all necessary features are in frame and those beautiful floppy ears aren't cut off from view.
